Xin Xiaojuan (simplified Chinese:辛晓娟), whose pen name Bu Feiyan(simplified Chinese:步非烟) is taken from a ''Tangchuanqi'' (short stories of the Tang Dynasty) by Huangfu Mei, is a Chinese Mainland female writer known for writing ''Wuxia'' novels. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in July 11, 1981, she studied at the Chinese Department of Peking University in 1999, awarded with a master's degree in ancient Chinese literature in 2006 and a Doctor’s degree from the Chinese Department in 2012. In 2004, she began to serialize works on magazines, namely ''Jinguchuanqi'', ''Wuxiagushi'', and ''Wuxiaxiaoshuo''. Her major works include ''Huayinliushao'' series, ''Wulinkezhan'' series, ''Renjianliudao: Xiuluodao,'' and ''Kunlunchuanshuo'' series.
